Continuing her impressive task of releasing a new song in every single week of 2020, Wes Reeve’s latest effort is ‘Don’t Worry’. She explains that the track spent quite a while failing to move towards its final form: “I was spending every day sitting at my keyboard and writing by myself. It felt like everything I was writing was contrived and uninspired, and I felt exhausted with music and being an artist in general”. She obviously found the influence somewhere and ended up with this bouncy, uplifting track that draws from her fairy-tale-esque songwriting style and stream of consciousness lyrics, while juxtaposing various instruments from luscious flute lines to dark bass synths.
